Start apache in Fedora Core 5

Straight out of the box, with no configuration….

If /sbin is not in your path:

cd /sbin

service httpd start

or

/sbin/service httpd start

You might also have to enable WWW services in Administration > Security Level and Firewall

Heeeeeeeeeeelp. I wiped a partition on my drive and installed FC5 from the DVD [which had been checked and passed.]

At work, now, I type cd /sbin, etc. started apache.

Syntax error on line 171 of …httpd.conf … can’t load module /../mod_auth.so: No such file or directory.

    Huh?

I’ve never seen this before. Apache is installed from the DVD. Do i need to just reinstall it or is something else going on?

    Thanks.
